La Boca, Buenos Aires
Stimulate your senses walking through the vibrant cobblestone streets of La Boca. Famed for its soccer history, this barrio (neighbourhood) is an artist district with bright coloured murals and buildings. Music fills the air and dancers can be seen in various spots, demonstrating the seductive dance of the Tango.
Iguazu Falls, Argentina, and Brazil
Visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, a national treasure that is the Iguazu Falls. Its power and presence can be felt from the Argentinean and Brazilian side. Definitely a must-see when visiting South America.
Sugarloaf Mountain, Brazil
Take a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf mountain. This is Brazil’s famous quartz and granite peak overlooking Guanabara Bay. At the summit you are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro. You can also see the rainforest green canopy against the sparkling blue ocean at the top.
Christ the Redeemer statue, Brazil
The iconic landmark Christ the Redeemer stands on top of Mount Corcovado overlooking Rio De Janeiro. You can hike to the top or take a van. We recommend taking a scenic train ride which will take you through the lush Tijuca Forest.
Sacred Valley, Peru
Sacred Valley is a lush green valley in the Andes and was once the epicentre of ancient Incan civilisation. The valley is teeming with highlights including charming colonial towns, indigenous villages, a myriad of trekking routes and Incan ruins dotted throughout the valley.
Machu Picchu, Peru
No trip to South America would be complete without visiting the famous Machu Picchu. The ancient citadel is perfectly perched high up in the Andes and exploring the ruins is often described as a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience.
Cusco, Peru
Cusco was once the heart of the Incan empire. Its ruins are prime examples of excellent Incan engineering. Star attractions include the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Temple of the Sun and the Cuzco Cathedral.
Lake Titicaca, Peru & Bolivia
Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable body of water in the world. It has an impressive elevation of over 3,800 metres above sea level. Key attractions include the Uros ‘Floating Islands’ which are man-made islands constructed from totora reeds.
Patagonia
Located in the southernmost tip of South America much of the coast is carved by fjords and capped by glistening glaciers. A natural wonderland with unspoiled terrains ideal for hikers and nature lovers. Some highlights include Torres del Paine National Park, Los Glaciares National Park, Valdes Peninsula, and Bariloche.
Moon Valley, Bolivia
Moon Valley is an exceptionally natural phenomenon of maze-like canyons and giant spires. These unique rock formations are a result of persistent wind and rain erosion.
