Fly/Cruise Voyages

For those who have restricted time, our fly and cruise options may suit you to maximise your time at Antarctica, avoiding one leg of the Drake Passage or both. These would have you flying from Punta Arenas to King George Island on the northern tip of the Peninsula, and then sailing back (or vice versa). Other itineraries would have you fly one way from Falkland Islands to Punta Arenas (or vice versa). This option basically give you more time to enjoy on the ice.
We also have a fly both ways option, which avoids the Drake Passage altogether, ideally suited for those who do not travel well on cruises
Note: Itineraries may vary depending on ship. Some itineraries may include pre/post nights in Ushuaia, Buenos Aires, Punta Arenas or Santiago
Day 1: Arrive Punta Arenas (D)
Arrive in Punta Arenas and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, you attend a mandatory briefing that provides important information about your voyage and reviews the essential guidelines for Antarctic visitors. Later, gather for a welcome dinner and meet your fellow adventurers while enjoying a typical regional menu.
Day 2: Fly to Antarctica (B L D)
Your Antarctic adventure begins with a two hour flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. Explore the area surrounding Chile’s Frei Station and Russia’s Bellingshausen Station, before boarding a Zodiac to embark your expedition vessel.
Day 3 - 6: Exploring Antarctica (B L D)
Cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs, while enjoying the company of seabirds, penguins, seals and whales.
Your voyage may include visits to sites such as Paulet Island, Hope Bay, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Deception Island, the Lemaire Channel, or many other magnificent places.
Day 7: Antarctica - Punta Arenas (B)
Return to King George Island and bid farewell to Antarctica before boarding the flight back to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night.
Day 8: Punta Arenas
After breakfast, transfer to the Punta Arenas airport for your onward flight.
