Tour Overview

Arequipa is known as the “White City” of Peru, a beautiful colonial city renowned for its architecture, set in a fertile valley with majestic volcanoes, including El Misti. Visitors can explore its UNESCO-listed historic centre, featuring churches and monasteries like the Santa Catalina Monastery, and enjoy local cuisine and vibrant culture, with the nearby Colca Canyon offering natural wonders for outdoor activities.

* This program can also be reversed, starting in Puno and ending in Arequipa.

Itinerary

DAY 1
Arequipa

On arrival transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2
Arequipa

Half day city tour and visit to Santa Catalina Convent, founded in 1580.

DAY 3
Arequipa - Colca Canyon

Morning transfer to Colca Canyon, via Chivay, observing the mystical Misti volcano, and visiting the La Calera hot springs enroute. Stop at the Pampas of Toccra, and see alpacas, llamas and Andean birds.

DAY 4
Colca Canyon

Visit the valley of Yanque, with its beautiful church, before travelling to Condor Cross, to observe the mighty condors, in full flight in the valley.

DAY 5
Colca Canyon - Puno

Afternoon departure to Puno, stopping enroute at Patahuasi, Lagunillas, and Santa Lucia. Arrive at your hotel in Puno at approximately 7pm.
