Cruise Overview
The MS Expedition has the intimacy of a small ship yet fiercely adventurous built with safety, comfort and expertise in the forefront. Completely refurbished in 2009, this ice-strengthened vessel features large spacious cabins with private en-suite. large common areas, fine dining, and 360 degree views at the top observation deck. Passenger are welcomed with complimentary Wellington boots for the duration of their cruise as well as handy destination guides in preparation for your Antarctic adventure.
Other facilities include a large heated mud room, Lonely Planet library, fine dining, a gym, Discovery Lounge, Polar Bar Pub and gift shop. Itinerary maybe changed due to sea and weather conditions. Antarctic camping, kayaking, Tierra del Fuego National Park visit, Antarctic pre/post cruise add-ons are optional extras. Please note camping and kayaking is only available prior to departure and are subject to ice and weather conditions. Spaces are limited and pricing is subject to change based on seasons.

Falklands, South Georgia &Antarctica
Experience Antarctic kayaking in this itinerary available at an extra cost.
See the biological diversity that the Falkland Islands have to offer. The majestic Black-browed albatross can be seen here along with waddling penguin colonies. Visit the charming capital, Stanley and walk the streets to see bright coloured buildings of British style architecture.
As you head towards South Georiga, historical and biological lectures lead by expert staff will prepare you for upcoming landings. Head to the observation deck and keep a lookout for whales throughout the waters of South Georgia and pelagic seabirds soaring through the sky.
Just north of the Antarctic Peninsula lies the South Shetland Islands. Spend your shore landings (weather permitting) observing a variety of penguins species including the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguin. There are also Weddell seals, leopard seals, minke whales and humpback whales to see.
Antarctica Classic Depth
This particular itinerary offers optional extras including, antarctic camping, kayaking, Tierra del Fuego National Park visit, and Antarctic Pre/Post cruise Add-ons.
These next six days are spent exploring the unique landscape and observing the flourishing wildlife. Each day’s (weather permitting) goal is to have have two landings to observe Weddell seals, leopard seal, as well as penguins species including the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguin. In the nearby waters whales can be seen feeding and breaching the water.
Antarctica Classic
Spend the days on excursions (weather dependant) to observe the extraordinary wildlife up close including, the Gentoo, Chinstrap and Adelie penguins. Weddell seals, leopard seals are common here as well as minke and humpback whales can be seen in the nearby waters.
Quest for the Antarctic Circle
This particular tour has optional extras available for additional cost. Travellers may chose to go camping, kayaking, visit Tierra del Fuego National Park and Antarctic Pre/Post Cruise Add Ons.
The South Shetland Islands are home to some of the largest colonies of penguins in the world. With two landings (dependant on weather) you’ll get up close to observe the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguins as well as Weddell and leopard seals. In the nearby waters see orca’s, humpback and minke whales.
