Upon arrival in Montevideo, transfer to your hotel. Spend your time exploring this wonderful city.

Begin your voyage to the Antarctic as you embark on the G Expedition

Cruising southeast towards the Falkland Islands. Use this time to familiarise yourself with the ship and enjoy the educational lectures presented by expert staff about this great ‘White continent’.

See the biological diversity that the Falkland Islands have to offer. The majestic Black-browed albatross can be seen here along with waddling penguin colonies. Visit the charming capital, Stanley and walk the streets to see bright coloured buildings of British style architecture.

As you head towards South Georiga, historical and biological lectures lead by expert staff will prepare you for upcoming landings. Head to the observation deck and keep a lookout for whales throughout the waters of  South Georgia and pelagic seabirds soaring through the sky.

Visit the final resting place of the famous polar explorer Ernest Shackleton. There are several former whaling stations as well as an abundant wildlife to observe. A major highlight is to witness the huge colony of king penguins as well as the elephant seal.

Just north of the Antarctic Peninsula lies the South Shetland Islands. Spend your shore landings (weather permitting) observing a variety of penguins species including the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguin. There are also Weddell seals, leopard seals, minke whales and humpback whales to see.

Disembark the G Expeditions in Ushuaia

Upon arrival in Ushuaia, transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring this city and grabbing some supplies.

Morning at leisure in Ushuaia before embarking the G Expedition in the afternoon. Tonight you will cruise through the Beagle Channel.

While crossing the Drake passage keep a lookout for icebergs, whales and albatross. There are also educational lectures lead by the expedition team.

These next six days are spent exploring the unique landscape and observing the flourishing wildlife. Each day’s (weather permitting) goal is to have have two landings to observe Weddell seals, leopard seal, as well as penguins species including the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguin. In the nearby waters whales can be seen feeding and breaching the water.

Nearing the end of your journey as you head back towards the Drake Passage. Spend the day reflecting on the trips highlights and your last chance to spot whales from the observation deck.

Last breakfast on board before disembarking in Ushuaia.

Arrive in Ushuaia where you will be trasferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city or shop for some last minute supplies

Morning at leisure in Ushuaia before embarking the G Expedition in the afternoon. In the evening cruise through the Beagle Channel.

Begin crossing the Drake Passage, while at sea enjoy daily lectures. This is usually the first sightings of icebergs, whales and albatross.

Spend the days on excursions (weather dependant) to observe the extraordinary wildlife up close including, the Gentoo, Chinstrap and Adelie penguins. Weddell seals, leopard seals are common here as well as minke and humpback whales can be seen in the nearby waters.

Begin the journey back to Ushuaia via the Drake Passage. Spend the day reflecting on the highlights of the trip and keep a careful eye for your last chance to see whales.

After breakfast disembark the G Expedition in Ushuaia.

Arrive in Ushuaia and then transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring this wonderful city.

Morning at leisure before embarking the G Expedition in the afternoon. Cruise through the Beagle Channel in the night.

Look out for the first sightings of icebergs, whales and albatross as we continue to cruise through the Drake Passage toward the South Shetland Islands.

The South Shetland Islands are home to some of the largest colonies of penguins in the world. With two landings (dependant on weather) you’ll get up close to observe the gentoo, chinstrap and Adelie penguins as well as Weddell and leopard seals. In the nearby waters see orca’s, humpback and minke whales.

Be awestruck by the colossal icebergs as we head southward along the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Join the exclusive few who have ever ventured this far south, known as the Antarctic Polar Circle.

We head north back to ward the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.

Head towards the Drake Passage

The journey back to the mainland begins today. Spend this time reflect on the highlights of the trip as well as your last chance to sight whales.
