Itinerary

DAY 1
Quito - Baños - Riobamba

Early departure from Quito south, along the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”. Travel via Baños, a resort town of thermal baths, and the Avenue of the Waterfalls, before arriving in Riobamba, passing the foothills of Chimborazo Volcano.

DAY 2
Riobamba - Alausi - Devil's Nose Train - Ingapirca Ruins - Cuenca

Travel to Alusi via la Balbanera, the first spanish church built in the country. In Alausi, we will take a spectacular bus-train ride through the Devil’s Nose, a true feat in railway engineering of the early twentieth century. Reach the village of El Tambo and detour to visit the Incan Archaeological site of Ingapirca, which means “wall of the Inca”. Overnight in Cuenca.

DAY 3
Cuenca

City tour of Cuenca, including visiting a Panama Hat factory, the Main Square, Cathedral and flower market.

Cuenca - El Cajas National Park - Guayaquil

Travel from Cuenca to Guayaquil, via the Cajas National Park, where you will see spectacular lagoon, and alpacas, before arriving at your hotel or airport in Guayaquil.
