Itinerary
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Salta. Upon arrival at Salta’s airport, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, a walking tour of the city awaits you, strolling through the stunning streets, observing the historic churches and colonial buildings, before visiting the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology (MAAM).
After breakfast, embark on your trip through the Calchaquies Valley, passing by the Obispo Slope, Del Tin Tin Straight, Los Cardones National Park, Cachi and De Las Flechas Gorge. In Cachi, enjoy some free time for lunch and a walk around the town. Then, we continue down National Route 40 before your arrival at Cafayate.
Today, we explore the Humahuaca Gorge, a UNESCO Humanity Cultural heritage site, visiting the colourful villages of Tilcara, where we reach the incredible El Hornocal Mountain Range, also known as Cerro de los 14 Colores, with a viewpoint 4350 meters above sea level giving you stunning panoramic views of your surroundings.
On the way back to Salta we stop at the chapel of Uquia, the oldest in Quebrada. The afternoon sun will grant us amazing views of the desert sunset, before our arrival in Salta for a night’s rest.
Morning visit to Iguazu National Park to view the Argentinean side of the falls. This site is declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site, and is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. During the tour, you will go through the three circuits of the park: Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), The Upper Trail, and the Lower Trail. During this tour, you will be given leisure time to enjoy a lunch (not included), with the option to take “The Great Adventure”.
In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu for a night of rest.
