Cruise Overview
Cruise through Antarctica’s narrow passages and protected channels on board the Sea Spirit. This small yet manoeuvrable vessel navigates pleasantly into areas that larger ships cannot. There are seven luxurious cabin categories to choose from fitting a total of 114 passengers. There are plenty of social places and quiet nooks for rest and relaxation including, a club lounge, restaurant, bar, outdoor bistro, infirmary, library, gym and presentation lounge. Take advantage of the open bridge to view the spectacular Antarctic landscapes from the ships bridge (Captains station).

Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic Islands

Excursions to the many sites of the Falklands, South Georgia, Antarctic Islands and Antarctic Peninsula are weather dependant, safety is a priority and therefore itineraries may be adjusted during your trip.
Arrive in the capital city of Montevideo, Uruguay. Upon arrival, group transfer to hotel and the rest of the day at leisure.
The Falkland Islands are truly a Birders paradise with large colonies of penguins and albatross that can be observed up close. There are also fur and elephant seals that layabout on the sandy beaches and whale and dolphin species that call the nearby waters home.
If weather permits, you will visit Stanley, the quaint capital of the Falkland Islands. While there visit the Falkland Islands Museum, the governor’s house, cathedral, a war memorial, gift shops, pubs and see shipwrecks viewed from the harbour.
South Georgia hosts an abundant number of wildlife providing an opportune time to photograph or observe them at a safe but close distance. It is said that approximately 100 million seabirds inhabit South Georgia, including, albatross, king penguins, macaroni penguins prions, petrels and terns.
Elephant seals and fur seals can be found on the beaches of the Salisbury Plain and Andrews Bay while many whales can be seen in the surrounding waters.
Visit Grytviken, a former whaling station now museum and is the site of the final resting place of famous polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton.

Antarctic Peninsula - Land of Penguins & Icebergs

Be awestruck by the impressive scenery of glaciers and icebergs all unique in size, structure and coloured with many shades of blue in the Antarctic Peninsula. Penguins can be seen foraging in the sea along with krill and a variety of whale and seal species. See the sheltered bays along the Gerlache Strait which has the famous Lemaire Channel or ‘Kodak Gap’ earning its name thanks to its stunning scenery of a narrow passage sheltered by towering icebergs.
