Mexico City is a city rich with flavour and vibrant colours thanks to many of its blending cultures and landscapes. In this tour you will taste and prepare some delicious Mexican meals from traditional dishes from fresh local produce while touring unique areas of Mexico. From the many ancient sites, colonial neighbourhoods to vibrant city parts, Mexico has many palettes to match its diverse landscape.

City tour including the major sights such as the Zocola (main square), the National Palace, the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, ruins of Templo mayor and Paseo de Reforma. A short stop at a Handicrafts centre, visit Chapultepec Forest.
Lunch at the traditional ‘El Cardenal Restaurant’ for your first gastronomic experience of Mexican cuisine. Visit to the San Juan Market before visiting Celaya’s Candy store, one of the oldest candy stores in Mexico, to taste some of the famous Mexican sweets.
Today you explore the beautiful colonial neighbourhood, Coyoacan. Start with a guided tour of Frida Kahlo’s Museum, followed by a visit to a local bakery to savour traditional sweet bread. Venture to one of the many ‘Cantinas’ for true Mexican food and drinks. Afternoon visit to a handicraft and food market to tasts the famous ‘churros’ and hot chocolate.
Departing Mexico City to Puebla visiting en route the archaeological site of Cholula. City tour of Puebla before stopping for lunch at the famous ‘Mole Poblano’ for the classic Mexican Mole, a rich chocolate -chilli sauce. Afternoon bus to Oaxaca. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Morning Oaxacan Cuisine class starting with a visit to the market to select fresh ingredients. Learn the secrets of Mexican cuisine by preparing a traditional meal from this region. In the afternoon visit to the City of Oaxaca. In the evening, transfer to the main square to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the city, before heading to ‘El Asado Don Vasco’ restaurant for a delicious Oaxacan style dinner.
Explore the ancient ruins of Monte Alban, one of the first cities built in the Americas constructed in 800 AD. During this visit see Ball Court, the Palace, the Observatory and the painted tombs of Oaxaca. Evening transfer to ‘La Casa de Cantera’ (Quarry House) to see the unique Guelaguetza dance.
